Freshwater Cove

Freshwater Cove is an incredibly remote and logistically difficult project. This boutique fishing resort has no road or airstrip access, is in a coastal and cyclonic environment, on culturally sensitive Dambimangari land… and there’s the croc that lives in the bay. With a small budget and a compressed timeframe, the project delivered a positive outcome through an innovative earth anchor system, easily transported to site on a trap boat that passed the site and could be backloaded within the limited budget. Multiple level termite protected timber is the major building material. Water systems and solar, produce all the water and power required to run the facilities.
